About this meeting:
Begin:
4/12/2010 6:30 PM
End:
4/12/2010 9:00 PM
Location:
St. Madeleine Sophie Church
Planned Program:
6:30 - 7:00 - Social time and club business

7:00 - 9:00 - Focus Groups:

First Year group - Perinatolgist Dr. Robin de Regt from Eastside Maternal Fetal Medicine will be here to talk with us about pregnancy with multiples!! A Perinatologist is an Obstetrician who has specialized training in managing patients with high-risk pregnancies. High risk factors would include multiple gestation pregnancies, preterm labor, gestational & insulin dependent diabetes, fetal anomalies, Twin to Twin transfusion, etc.

Dr. de Regt will be addressing topics covering nutrition requirements for multiple gestation pregnancies, what you should expect if things get complicated with your pregnancy (something many multiples families experience), how many of our kiddos typically end up in the NICU (and what that means for you), stats over the last 2 years with C-section rates going up, the relationship and role your Perinatologist has with your OB, and finally….she will have time to answer any other questions you might have regarding all aspects of multiple gestation pregnancies!!

Even if you've already delivered your multiples, please consider coming and sharing your experiences with our expecting EMOMs! We all know pregnancy isn't necessarily a cake walk and it can definitely help to know that you're not alone and that someone else has walked the same path……and survived!!
