 Toys & Togs Sale

About Toys & Togs
EMOMs' Toys & Togs Sale is held twice each year, once in the spring and once in the fall. The sale, which is open to the public, provides an amazing opportunity for you to pick up gently used (and sometimes brand new) items, just about anything on your shopping list for baby or child - including:

  • maternity clothing
  • nursery furnishings / decor
  • high chairs and boosters
  • strollers, infant carriers, and backpacks
  • >100 racks of infant and children's clothing
  • infant gear
  • toys and games
  • books and CDs
  • car seats

Approximately 150 EMOMs members sell items at each sale, keeping a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their own items. The remainder of the proceeds covers the cost of the sale and helps EMOMs fund both club and community programs for families with multiples.

What can you expect as a shopper?
This is not your usual garage sale! If you haven't shopped at an EMOMs Toys & Togs Sale before, get ready for some serious shopping. The venue is set up like a small baby/children's department store, with like items grouped together and clothing hanging on more than 120 clothing racks, organized by size, filling 2 basketball courts to the brim.

Be aware: because of the variety, price, and quality of items, this sale is well-known and very popular. As a result, the sale can be very busy for the first several hours.

Getting In: Our sale opens to the general public at approximately 10 am. The outside line usually forms before 9 am. Fire regulations limit the number of shoppers that can be admitted at one time. The first section of the line will be admitted at 10 am (or shortly thereafter). If you arrive before noon, please be prepared to stand or sit in line. If you arrive before 9 am, be careful to line up in the “General Public” line rather than the “EMOMs Members” line, which is admitted at 9 am.

Shopping:  Per fire regulations, we do limit the number of people on the sales floor at one time, but the sale is still quite crowded, especially during the first few hours. As the sale progresses, it is less crowded because popular items have been sold and because fewer people arrive to shop in the late morning / early afternoon. There are always plenty of items left to purchase later in the sale!

Check-out lines: Despite our best efforts to have many cashiers and baggers, and to help people efficiently, check-out lines can get very long. We typically have 16 cashiers (sometimes more) working as quickly and efficiently as possible, which keeps the lines moving. We offer an express line for people purchasing 15 items or fewer. After 1 pm, the lines are usually much shorter.
Your patience is appreciated.
