Who should I ask for help at
the sale?
Where can I find ____________?
Sale layout maps are available
here on the website for you to print and
bring with you. We also have a limited quantity of these maps available at
the sale.
What if
I pick out too much to carry while I’m shopping?
If you have too many items to manage while you shop, and especially if you find
large items you wish to purchase, we offer a holding area to set aside items you
intend to purchase. You will need to be aware of all the
rules associated with our holding process. You must agree to buy all the items
you place in holding. You
must register with holding, which involves providing your name and contact information. Rules
and registration forms are available
here on the website
or at the sale.
What can I use to carry items while
shopping?
You are welcome to bring a laundry basket or an empty box. Strollers and wagons
are also allowed, but will be tagged before you enter the sale. EMOMs also will
provide boxes for you to use while shopping. For security reasons,
we do not allow the use of shopping bags or closed bags/totes.
What happens if I am dissatisfied with my
purchase?
We strive for quality, gently used merchandise. You may find new items as well,
sometimes with tags or in original packaging. We recognize that many shoppers,
including our own members, often appreciate finding a bargain on an item that
cannot be considered in perfect condition, but is fully functional (such as
"play clothes" or a toy that is missing a non-essential piece). For that reason, items with minor
flaws are occasionally included among our merchandise selection. We ask our
sellers to identify
these flaws by describing them on the price card using a red pen, and to price the item
accordingly, using a red pen for the price. We urge buyers to read the attached tag especially if the
price is in red, and to carefully inspect all items before making a purchase
selection.
All sales are final. However, if you experience a problem with a
big ticket item (sold for $25 or more), report the issue to us within 5 business
days and we will look into the matter. Inquiries must include a detailed
description of the item, the problem, and the EMOMs-assigned seller ID number,
which is found on the informational card that stays with the item when you
purchase it. Contact toysandtogs@emoms.org with your
purchase questions/concerns. EMOMs cannot
guarantee the merchandise sold, but will make every effort to broker a solution
between seller and buyer for big ticket items.
How do I pay?
EMOMs accepts cash or checks (with proper ID). Sorry, we are not able to accept
credit or debit cards.
What
if I get hungry?
Food is available for purchase outside prior to the sale, and also
near the check-out lines. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the actual gym.
This includes coffee and water.
Who
should I ask for help at the sale?
Look for red. EMOMs members and
other volunteers working the sale
wear red
shirts and EMOMs identification tags. Team leads wear red aprons. Any of
these sale volunteers should be able to help you, or direct you to someone who
can. Return to
